Bell and Ross Timepieces
Bell & Ross was founded in 1992 by Bruno Belamich and his longtime childhood friend, Carlos A. Rosilla. The underlying concept of these luxury Swiss watches is of function shaping form. Bell & Ross first worked with Sinn, a renowned manufacturing specialist of dashboard meters, to produce Hydro and Space One. The Space 1 was first worn in 1983 by Reinhart Furrer, a German astronaut, on his mission to space. It was the very first automatic chronometer to adorn an astronaut in space, and was later re-issued by Bell and Ross in 1994.
In 1997, Bell & Ross’ Hydro Challenger was awarded the world record for water resistance by the Guinness Book of Records. Indeed, the timepiece features a water resistance level of 11,000 meters.
