Chopard Timepieces
Based in Paris, Chopard was established by then twenty-four-year-old Louis-Ulysse Chopard. As a manufacture, Chopard creates most of its timepieces and movements on its own, as opposed to utilizing the base movements provided by other manufacturers. Initially the firm focused on creating chronometers and pocket watches. Today the company manufactures both mechanical and quartz watches. Famous collections include Happy Sport, Classiques, La Strada, and Mille Miglia.
Chopard contributes to the Elton John AIDS foundation, co-sponsoring annual charity events for the foundation, including the White Tie & Tiara Ball.
