Hublot Timepieces
Hublot is a Swiss luxury watchmaker, which was established by Carlo Crocco in 1980. It only opened its first store carrying only Hublot watches in 2007, in the city of Paris. This was followed by the opening of another such store in Saint-Tropez a few months later.
In 2009, at BaselWorld, Hublot announced a system which would allow it to authenticate timepieces on its servers, using a WiseKey smartcard. It launched the system later that year, in August of 2009.
Hublot was declared the Official Formula 1 Watchmaker in March 2010. One month later, Hublot was appointed as the official timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and 2014.
